Lázaro de Tormes (or Lazarillo de Tormes) is a famous fictional character and main character from the anonymous Spanish novel "La vida de Lazarillo de Tormes y de sus fortunas y adversidades", published in 1554 and considered the first picaresque novel. Lazarillo is a naughty and clever child, sold to different masters by his family as they lived in poverty and couldn't feed him.
Lázaro Vargas is a Cuban baseball player and Olympic gold medalist. Vargas is a two time Gold medalist for baseball, winning at the 1992 Summer Olympics and the 1996 Summer Olympics.
