I've never been a fan of this name. I've always hated Nirvana, and it also reminds me of that obnoxious character Kurt Hummel, who I've always found to be a total stereotype of gay men.
I’m a Kurt. We have a very German last name and my parents chose all very German first names for all the kids. I like that it’s not common and created cool initials for me - KAL. When I visit Germany I fit right in and the German relatives seem to relate to me better! And in Germany it definitely has its own pronunciation with a rolled R. I do wish it had ümlauts but that messes with the proper pronunciation in English or German.
Sorry to say, but I do not like this name. Without getting into any deep details, let me just wrap up my short statement by saying that I find this name to be very ugly and that I'm thankful it's not currently on the charts. Just not a fan of "Kurt". Never have, never will.

I love this name, it's so handsome and charming. I would like to use it as a middle name after Kurt Cobain.

Handsome and sexy. Please forget Jayden, Mason ext. Go back to this!
The name is beautiful, it sounds masculine yet delicate. It is strongly associated with Kurt Cobain and will be associated with him - parents should decide whether they like it or not. I personally think that to name children after talented and kind people is a good thing.
It's my brother's name! I chose it for him! Well I think Kurt is a cute name especially for a little charming boy! But it definitely doesn't suit a little devil.
This is a beautiful legit name, but for the next ten years at least, it will be connected with Kurt Cobain. This is not necessarily a bad thing but it is a little depressing.
An elegant name, I think of Kurt(s) as being very serious but not a wet blanket. I imagine them having either a German or French accent. I don't think you can be American and be named Kurt, that could just be me. Another Kurt is Kurt Wagner, aka Nightcrawler of X-Men fame.
