Kim is a simple name you can imagine it with a man or woman. I like to think of someone named Kim to be a business lady. Smart, Nice, sometimes devious, or pretty. My friends name is Kim and she’s Vietnamese so I like to think of the name Kim on an Asian lady but since my friend's a girl I just for some reason can’t imagine it on a man but it does suit a man and woman but in the end this is a great name. Not too complex, to the point simple and overall just a classic name with nothing wrong.
Kimball and Kimberly are quite nice. I really like certain short and simple two letter / three letter names, but this one is just bland. Though I think Kim is better suited on a male and Kym for a female.
I have the name Kim (short for Kimberley) and I’ve honestly felt very unique with it. It’s right up there with Ted, Bob, Jill, etc. Nothing remarkable sounding about it at all. But I did always like the meaning behind it: “from the wood of the royal fortress.” Makes it sound powerful, therefore, I am powerful. I despise that nowadays it is associated with Kim Kardashian more than anything.
How can this be a boy's name? Well I guess maybe if you're Asian.

This is my name. Not Kimberly. I'm not the hugest fans of Kim, I dislike Kimberly a lot more. Kim is OK.

Never liked this name. For one thing, it's a very common word in Asia and the most common surname in Korea. It always seemed very boring to me. The only good thing is that Kim is very easy to spell and pronounce.
I've never liked this nickname, and I don't like the name Kimberly either. As for now, I associate this name with the ex-wife of that moron, Eminem, and the awesome track Kim & Jessie by M83 hasn't made the name sound any prettier or more sophisticated to me.
