I love this name. A close friend of mine is named this, and I think it fits her perfectly. I prefer this spelling to Kelsey. Not that I don't like the other, but this was the first spelling of it I saw as a child, so I'm naturally more used to it.
I named my daughter this in 1993 and I receive wonderful commets on it and the way that I spelled it. It wasn't in any baby name books spelled like this when I named her, but now I've seen a few girls with the same spelling. Wonderful name!
My name is Kelsi and I get so many comments on it. When I was a toddler, a lady in the grocery store gave me money because this was my name. It was a very old name, but became very popular. I also get comments on how people love the spelling. However, most people ALWAYS misspell it and -- believe me -- I am a Kelsi with an I not a Kelsey with an ey! There is definitely a difference!
The first comment that said this was an old name made me laugh. Are you kidding? "Kelsi" is most definitely NOT an old name, and I think people 100 years ago would find it absolutely ridiculous that we name our children this. Maybe you should do some historical research.
