The name Keegan was given to 128 girls born in the US in 2015.
I have a son named Keegan, although I agree this can be a unisex name.
Like the Scottish last names MacKenzie, Cameron, and Ross, the Irish surname Keegan can be used as a first name. Like MacKenzie and Cameron, it can be used for either girls or boys, contrary to what people on this forum are saying, and contrary to the assigned gender--masculine--that is listed in the site's entry for the name. I am female and Keegan is my middle name because it was my mother's maiden name.
Like someone else already said, in some cases Keegan can be used for girls. Two years ago there was a girl named Keegan in my brother's class.
