My mom is Catherine with a C, so I normally prefer names with a C to a K. However, I kind of prefer Karissa to Carissa. I like them both equally, but for some reason I like this name more. Something about the K makes it look more sleek. Also, Karissa is more unique than Carissa.
My name is Karissa, and my little cousins call me kissy. It is very cute. And the one with the lisp says it tissy.

My husband and I named our first daughter Karissa. I think this is one of the most beautiful female names out there. Karissa means "Beloved" in Greek. We felt this was fitting since her father's name is David which means "Beloved" in Hebrew. We liked it because we could technically name her after her father.

I'm not extremely fond of the name, but it's my cousin's name and it fits her well. Some of her nicknames are Rissa and Kar.
