Comments (Meaning / History Only)

When we researched this name for our daughter the Kaylee phase had not hit the baby name books. Kaleigh was in the books at that time as Sanskrit in origin, meaning "energy", and it is pronounced Ku-lee.
I can confirm that the name Kaleigh is listed in print copies of multiple baby books as Sanskrit meaning both ‘energy’ and ‘energetic’. That is what we have also told our own Kaleigh that her name means. She was named back before internet searching was a thing, and we had the definition from the printed pages of a thick book of names and meanings.
The name Kaleigh most definitely did not originate from Sanskrit, and it doesn't mean "energy" in any language. In fact, it doesn't have a meaning. It is a variation spelling of Kaylee, which is just a combination of Kay and Lee. Be careful where you get your information from.
Kaleigh also means a sort of party. When I went to Prince Edward Island I saw a sign that said my name and I realised underneath it said it was a type of party (not a party for Kaleigh).
