Every year is a waking struggle and I am constantly called “Kaylie” when my name is meant to be pronounced “Kylie.” Please do not name your kid this unless you want their lives to be set for inconvenience like having to correct your name every single time a teacher calls attendance. I also notice some other Kaileys here and it’s funny that they have the opposite problem.Essentially for a little share/more details on my experiences with this name was that in elementary school, I’d have to correct the pronunciation of my name every year to the point where when we’d have a sub, my classmates piped in to correct them for me lol! But as a middle schooler with many more classes I’ve kinda just learned to stop correcting teachers after maybe the first day or two and only my actual friends would really know.A funny thing that happened due to me doing this was that during Open House (just a school event for parents to come and teachers to display students’ work), 2 of my teachers who knew my name as the 2 different variants were like “Hi Kailey” in both forms but what’s funny is that they didn’t really acknowledge what they did, much to my gratefulness, and it kinda just went on like normal. For my personal take on this, just don’t name your child “Kailey” or just any other name that’s phonetically controversial in its pronunciation and you can set your child’s life off just slightly more fortunately :)- a passionate Kailey.

This is my name and I pronounce it as Kay-lee, it always gets mispronounced as Kie-lee I disagree with it being a childish name, to me, it's a timeless name. Doesn't matter if you're a child, middle-aged or even old.

Not sure of the pronunciation of this name. But I would pronounce it Kie-lee not Kay-lee.
My name is Kailey. It is not pronounced like Kay-lee. It is pronounced like Kail-ee. If you could please fix it or make another one, it would make me EXUBERANTLY happy!
