I've found from multiple sources that Kagura is a contraction of the phrase 'kami no kura', which means "seat of god". It's a type of spiritual dance meant to entertain the divine, which is why when it's written like '神楽, かぐら,' it literally means "god-entertainment". It has Shinto origins. I know it's been stated previously, but I think adding the literal meaning is really important mainly for the meanings search tool.main source: https://mykaiju.com/odo-island-kagura/
