I love pretty much any Jul- name. How is this name dated and Julia isn’t? I can name way more older Julia’s than Julie’s. Julia Roberts, Julia Stiles, Julia Child. Julia’s a beautiful name too but Julie is just as pretty. I never met any Julie’s of any age really. And the -lee sound at the end to me gives it a youthful but formal appeal. Lovely.
My mommy is named Julie and she is the best mommy in the world. So don't say this name is bad because I love my mom and all the other Julies out there. People who say bad things about Julie should reconsider. She is strong, powerful and beautiful just like all of you out there. Julie is a great name and I love it :)

I have an aunt named this. In my opinion it’s a bit older and nobody would name a child this nowadays. It’s funny to see that people actually are willing to name a child this still even though this name is dated.
I don't care for this name. It sounds dated. But I do like Julia. Three of my favorite actresses are named Julia.

I personally love this name! My best friend has this name so maybe I’m biased, but it is a pretty, fair and classic sounding name. I also like Julia, Julianne, and Juliette. These names all remind me of a song, and shining jewels.
I think Julie sounds really cute and feminine, Julia is also nice!

Not that bad, but why not something more unusual like Juliet? Just add one letter and completely different name. Julie is alright, just little bit boring, doesn't look complete. I think Julia is a better spelling than this one.
I had a cousin with this name, but I don't care for it. It's an old lady name. I prefer Jennifer, even if it is overused.

On babynamespedia.com it says it’s used as a girl's name or as a nickname for Julia, Juliana, or Juliette etc) but it also says it can be used as a boy's name or as a nickname for Julian, Julius or Juliano, especially for the homosexual boys. So if I had a baby boy, I would name him Julian but call him Julie for short. Jule can also be a nickname for Julie.
My mother's name is Julie. I don't know how I feel about it. My mother's feelings about it are neutral as well but she has often told me she thought it wasn't the name she was supposed to have. She prefers Juliette or Julietta. I don't think it is a pretty name, although it feels unkind to say this. I think Juliette sounds prettier and more romantic but I can not really warm to the name or any variants. It seems quite uninspired to me, or uninteresting.

Julie is such a sweet name. I have always loved it. Julia is also lovely.
My name is Julie, and my middle name is Anne. When I was younger, I disliked my name and usually asked Mother if I could go by Julianne. She said no, but now, I am glad I did not use that nickname. I really enjoy my name now, I think that it fits my happy nature perfectly.

I like my name because it's a pretty name but I like too Julia! I like it because it is utilized in many countries.
My name is Julie, but I wish my parents named me something different like Julianne or another name completely. I don't know why, but it sounds a bit bejeweled to me. Otherwise, I think it's a good name.

My name is Julie and I am French. I think the name sounds much prettier pronounced the French way which is much softer sounding than the English pronunciation.

My mom's name is Julie. I always liked it, but my mom thinks her name is kinda boring because she says every fourth girl at her school was named Julie. I think it's pretty, though.
I like this name a lot. It sounds a bit short to me, so I like Julia better-- it's my name. Both names are really pretty though.

Actually my name is Julie, and I don't really like it all that much. I'd rather Julia or Julianne, I think they sound prettier.

Hi, I'm Julie too. Love the name, sounds romatic to me. I never really asked my mom why she gave me the name though, maybe I should. Growing up only a very few had this name. I grew up in the 70's and 80's. When I got married, my husbands mother's name is Judy, but her dad called her Julie, and her daughter- my sister in law is named Julia Dawn, but choose Dawn to go by. We all live next to each other now and our mail is forever getting mixed up. HA HA.
I love Julie. It's one of my favourite names. I can't stand Julia on the other hand. I hate the a-sound at the back of the name. In Dutch it sounds very hard, while Julie sounds tender.
I knew both a Julianna and a Julia who went by Julie. I like this name a lot, I think it is so cool!

My name is Jewell, but I go by Julie. I think Julie is a very mature and beautiful name. I feel the same way about Jewell. I am very proud to be named Jewell/Julie!
I think Julie is a very pretty name, not sure if I would ever name my kid this but I do like it. There's a book series Julie of the Wolves, Julie, and Julie's Wolfpack that I recommend to everyone as a great book series.
My real name is JULIANNE, but I like JULI; spelled J-U-L-I. It's more unique than Juli'e'. I've never met anyone else with the spelling that way, but it's not weird, either.

Although I like it spelled Juli better, I really like this name. It isn't overused, like "Kate" or "Lauren", but it isn't really strange. I have a friend named Juli, and she loves her name.
Julie is my name, and I've always been happy with it, and people always tell me how pretty it is.

This is the name of my brother-in-law's mother. I like it a lot, better than Julia which is actually her real name but everyone calls her Julie so her name has changed now.
