This spelling gives me a headache. Jonathan is best, and Jonathon is fine in the UK. But Johnathon is a bridge too far for me.

I want to pronounce the end of the name "on". This spelling looks made up, even if it isn't.

Most people would spell it J-O-N-A-T-H-A-N, so little Johnathon is going to grow up correcting the spelling of his name in not one, but two places.

I actually like this spelling, well maybe because it's my friend Johnny's name. The only bad thing is people spelling it wrong.
