I think that this is a wonderful, three-lettered girl's name! Jen would be a nice twin sister for Amy, in my honest opinion.

It's the blandest, most boring nickname of all times.
Jennifer and Jenna are dated, but they sound pretty. Jenny and Jennie are okay.
But Jen is so bland. I will never understand why you would shorten a nice name to the boring Jen.
It also feels super middle-aged. Whereas Jennifer still sounds kind of happy and spunky and Jenna as well as Jenny, Jennie have some charm Jen is just boring.
I feel like most Jennifers always went by Jen which makes Jen feel so dated and Jennifer as a whole still kind of classic.

Jen sounds masculine to me. I wouldn't consider it feminine in my opinion!

Now that I think about this name I think it actually suits females way way better than males. The comment I made earlier about the name 'Jen' isn't actually my true opinion anymore.
