Variant of Gina? Seriously? How about a variant of Jeanne? Just because Jeanna and Gina sound the same does NOT mean one is a variant of the other. Jeanna is very clearly a variant of Jeanne/Jean, and thus a feminine form of John. This goes for "Jeana", as well. [noted -ed]
