I named my first daughter Isra as I wanted something unique not some typical top 10 names from google search or bounty.com. But after a few years I realized people have struggles with its reading pronunciations. I just want people to call her as read Ez'ra. Simple! So I had to amend her name from Isra to Ezra. Esra would've been an option, but people would just call her Ez'ra anyway so it was a better option to just name her Ezra rather than various different spelling options. But I hate how some just won't accept that it sounds more feminine than masculine. I would never call my son Ezra. How many male names do we know that end with letters ra?
