The name originates from jezebel which basically means consecrated to Baal,the name comes from the cry to Baal,ēze ba'al), a ritual cry from worship ceremonies in honor of Baal during periods of the year when the god was considered to be in the underworld.

This might be a stretch, but this spelling of the name could mean "is a beauty." Belle in French means "beauty," and the first part of the name sounds like the English "is a." So cute!
