Inger Christensen (1935-2009) is one of the most famous Danish poets. She wrote novels and children's literature, but won national and international recognition through her bold poetry, inspired by mathematical sequences. Among her poetry collections are "Light" (1962), "it" (1969), "Alphabet" (1981) and "Butterfly Valley: A Requiem" (1991). In 2006, she was chosen in the "Kulturkanon" of Danish literature to represent modern poetry.
Inger Stevens was a Scandinavian movie starlet in the late sixties and seventies, perhaps best remembered for wearing a scandalously short white minidress to the Academy Awards in 1968.
