My name is Ilan and I was named in honor of my great grandfather who's middle name was Ilan. I am 21 years old and I have never experienced any negative comments of my name. Thank you.

This name is not very good and sounds like “eel on” or “ill on” as other comments have pointed out. Not a good name find something else!

I think this name is cool but would hesitate to use it because a nearby college is called Elon. Pronounced the same way.
