One of my favorite novel series has a Honey in it. She appears in 2 novels that I know of Miracle at St Brunos, and The lion Triumphant, both by Philippa Carr. Damask's Nurse has a baby out of wedlock and on her deathbed has Damask promise she will raise the child, who is named Honeysuckle. She is much loved by Damask but grows up feeling jealous and acutely aware that she is not Damask's natural child. Damask's husband is her biological half brother, but won't admit it. Those are the first 2 books of the Daughters of England series but there are 19 books in the series (historical romantic/gothic fiction) and takes place from Henry the 8th's time to World war 1.

Everyone calls her this, mostly because of her Honey coloured hair and sweet personality, but her real name is Madeline. Honey was a girl born to rich parents who lived in a mansion with her adopted brother Jim.
