Sounds and looks like “Hi Yoshi” like something Mario would say to Yoshi when their playing hide and seek Hideyoshi says wut? So yeah….

This name, like many Japanese names has several different meanings. I don't know how this sight has it pronounced as Khee de yo shi, I've always assumed it was pronounced Hee de yo shi. I cant see this name being used outside of Japan or of Japanese American families.
All those people who said this name is pronounced like "Hide, Yoshi", you are all absolutely WRONG. Please don't make fun of other language names (even though I'm not Japanese, either), that is very immature. A Japanese person would find normal English names like "Emma" or "Allison" to be equally strange as well.
