Hermina "Mina" Morita is an American politician. She is an adviser for the Hawaii State House Committee on Finance. She is the former chair of the Public Utilities Commission (PUC) of the State of Hawaii. She previously served as a Democratic member of the Hawaii House of Representatives, representing the state's 14th District between her election in 1996 and 2011, when she was appointed to the PUC. The district includes Hanalei, Princeville, and Kapaa on the island of Kauai. Morita was the chair of the House Committee on Energy and Environmental Protection.
Hermina Franks (1914 – 2010) was an American baseball player. She was pitcher who played in the All-American Girls Professional Baseball League. Listed at 5' 4", 120 lb., Franks batted and threw right handed.In 1988 she was inaugurated a permanent display at the Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum at Cooperstown, New York, that honors those who were part of the All-American Girls Professional Baseball League. Hermina Franks, along with the rest of the girls and the league staff, is included at the display/exhibit.
