Hazel is also used as a masculine name in English. However, it's more common for females. So, I think that the "Gender" of this name should be updated from "Feminine" to "Feminine & Masculine".Sources: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hazel_(given_name)

Actually, contrary to many people's belief's I'm 13 and am constantly complimented on my name. People don't call me witch Hazel or an old hag. It's not very common in 13 year olds and people find it unique and pretty. At least that's what I've been told.
I just had my third child and first daughter. I had many names on my list for a girl, like: Piper, Channing, Harper, Ruby, Scarlette and the list goes on. I like unique names. But I wanted a name that was also a family name. I had an Aunt named Hazel that I have wonderful memories of - she was a very kind woman who always made me feel special. We called her aunt Hazey. I named my daughter after her. But I changed the spelling so her nickname would be Elle. We named our daughter Hazelle Claire and Elle is her nickname. Some don't love it or the spelling, but for the most part people seem pleasantly surprised when I tell them her name. Her eyes are still blue - so if her eyes change to Hazel it remains to be seen. But we love the name and have no regrets.
The name Hazel was given to six baby boys born in the U.S. in 2013.
This name is increasing in usage.
