The page says that Gloria first appeared in 1891, Gloriana in 1590. Gloriana preceded Gloria by 300 yeas! So how can Gloriana be an elaboration of the name Gloria? I think it would be more accurate to say that Gloriana is an elaboration of the Latin word for glory and that Gloria was a later shortening of Gloriana. [noted -ed]
