Gloria should definitely come back. It does sound dated to me, but it would sound wonderful on a young girl as well. So pretty- and what a good meaning! And I just love the way it flows when you say it.
I love this name! It is the name of the love of my life, and it suits her so well. It's very global and even though it can seem a little old-fashioned, it is absolutely beautiful! It is cute and pretty, just like her.
Gloria is such an adorable name! Totally recommend it! It ages so well! Amazing on little girls, and great on adults! Who couldn't love it?

Personally, I have no idea how anyone can hate this name; it’s absolutely stunning. I get why it was popular in the past. This would be a great choice if you’re looking for a classic, uncommon girl’s name. Gloria has always been one of my favorite names. I think that Gigi, Glory, Glow, and Glow-bug, or Lightning-bug (since we call them Lightning bugs here) would be adorable nicknames, if used. I rate Gloria five stars due to the sound, look, flexibility, and being uncommon. Totally recommend! 👍🏻.
Absolutely atrocious name. This used to be my name then I got it changed and it was the best decision I've ever made. It's for grandmas and it sounds horrible.

I like this name! It's pretty old-fashioned, but it's cute! Glori, Lori, Ria, and Ri are cute nicknames for this.
This is my name but I hate it because a lot of people make fun of my name by calling me "gorilla" and it just makes me hate my name so much, plus it sounds so basic and old.

For some reason I don’t love this name but it’s not bad. I think Lori could be a cute nickname.
I think this is a beautiful name. It's Christian, and I like that. I honestly think this a good name for a Fourth of July baby girl. It's a good name in general, and it's in my top 10.
Thanks to the movie Happy Feet, this name reminds me of baby penguins. Specifically, I have a baby penguin stuffed animal named Gloria, after Gloria from Happy Feet, that both me and my grandma love very much. She has a rhino friend named Rosie, after one of the rhinos at the Columbus Zoo, and I like to give both of these stuffed animals to her when she’s not feeling well.
When I think about this name I imagine an extroverted woman with a good sense of fashion.

My mother was named Gloria. She boasted, "I was named 'Gloria, Gloria, hallelujah!'" Anyone I knew named after a praise had an ego to match.

Although it’s not my favorite name, I like “Gloria” well enough. It just sounds elegant. However, I agree that it does sound old fashioned. But is that always a bad thing? At least it’s not overly common.
Gloria is such a beautiful sounding name. This name always makes me think of the movie Happy Feet. :)

I hope to use this name for a daughter someday if I can get my husband on board. I am a Christian and have prayed to be a mother for years. I once was at church singing a song called "Gloria 34" (lyrics rooted in psalm 34) and prayed to God, "If you ever blessed me with a daughter, I would love to praise You every time I spoke her name." I sang "Gloria" and dreamed of a daughter to give the name. Now I am pregnant and hoping for a girl.

The name Gloria makes me think of a passionate and friendly Italian young lady.
I wouldn't name someone this, but, Gloria is an adorable name. Very important to the Christian faith. Gloria sounds very unique- I've never met a Gloria! The only problem is Gloria the hippo from Madagascar. I think possiblely a Gloria can get teased for that. (Hippos are fat) Overall though, nice name for young girls.

I love this name, but I'm biased because it's mine. My friends call me Lola.
No matter how nice of a meaning it has, it is one of those common names that makes me scowl. It is one of the ugliest names you can find, but that's just my opinion, and I'm not the only one with that impression.

I adore this name, being as NO ONE is named Gloria these days. I will definitely name a child of mine this, even if he is a boy. Gloria, Gloria, Gloria, why so pretty, Gloria? I think it's nice!
This is also my name. I used to dislike it because it's very uncommon in Poland. And there's even a Polish version of this name - Sława. Although, I guess I would have disliked that even more. ;) However, I grew up to liking it. I even appreciate its uniqueness now. And I love its meaning and that it's so obvious. By the way. You've listed Polish name day (May 13) but you didn't write it is also used in here which is kind of obvious if we have a name day for it. In Poland it's pronounced GLAW-riah. (Oh, and I've just noticed there's no Slavic (also called "Russian" ;)) "r" in the key. "R" sound in Polish is more voiced than in English.) [noted -ed]

Gloria is so timeless and classic! It's absolutely beautiful. It reminds me of the Christmas song "Angels We Have Heard on High". Also, it sounds so refreshing among all the Madisons and Isabellas.
I love this name! It is quite unique in its structure. Not very many -oria names out there. It sounds beautiful and it conjures up splendid heavenly images. You couldn't ask for a more lovely name.
I love this name. Laura Branigan's song, 'Gloria', was actually an adaptation of Umberto Tozzi's original song: 'Gloria.' This song was sung in English, Italian, and Spanish by Tozzi, and Laura Branigan's version followed years later. I love all versions of the song, and I think Gloria is a unique and lovely name, very classy and sophisticated!
When I went to elementary school the cross guard was named Gloria. Ria could be short for Gloria and it's pretty. Gloria reminds me of angels. When I was little I had an imaginary friend named Gloria and I named my first egg baby Gloria in first grade. I could swear my guardian angel or something is named Gloria.
