Absolutely adorable nickname! It could be a nickname for Georgina, Georgiana, Georgine, Georgette, or George, all of which I love. It's probably best as a nickname though.
One of my neighbors is named Georgia and called Georgie. I think her name fits her so well, it's better for her than Georgia. I think the name is very cute as a nickname. I also once said "Georgie is gorgie", which I also think is so true and was kind of funny.
I named my puppy Georgie. It's really cute and suits her. Nicknames she gets are Georgie-Porgie, Georgie-Pie, Georgehead and Georgious, depending on how she's acting at the time.I still like this name on a person though, as either a nickname for a boy or girl but only as a full name for a girl. It's very cute and likeable.
My name is Georgina, named after my great-grandmother, but I've been called Georgie all my life. I've never really been "teased" for it being a boy name. Rather, I've had a lot of people tell me they like it. And I like it too! I'm the only Georgie I've ever met. :)

I think this name seems more masculine than feminine. It would be a cute nickname for George when a little boy is young.
