Gennady Padalka (b. 1958) is a Soviet-Russian cosmonaut who has worked on Mir and the ISS, and has spent 878 days in space over five missions, becoming the record holder for the most time spent in space, surpassing Sergei Krikalev’s previous record (803 days in space) in 2015.
A variant, Genndy, is the first name of the Russian American animator, director and producer Genndy Tartakovsky. He's probably most renowned for working on The Powerpuff Girls, and creating Dexter's Laboratory and Samurai Jack.
