In J.R.R Tolkien's "The Lord of the Rings" Gawahir was the windlord, that is the lord of the Great Eagles come of out of the mountains, and it is said that his vast wings could carry him swifter than the winds.
Gwaihir: An eagle who rescues Gandalf from Isengard and carries him back after Gandalf is resurrected. Gwaihir's name means "Windlord"The Eagle is Gwaihir, not Gawahir.
