This name is EXTREMELY common in Latin America, especially in Brazil and Mexico. Out of 10 Brazilian girls at least one will be a Gabriela. In Spanish, Gabriela’s are usually nicknamed Gabrielita or Gabita and of course the inevitable Gaby/Gabi. In my opinion I think it is a beautiful name because all the Gabriela’s I know have been very kind and loyal. A thumbs up to this name!
It’s a really nice name! Usually I hear Gabriella but this is nice and original! I don’t know how it would sound on an adult though... sounds a bit more childish.

I have the name Gabriela, not my personal preference but I’ve received many compliments on my name for some reason. I hate the nickname Gabby but most people just resort to calling me that instead so I try to get them to call me Ri or Riella.

I have the name Gabriela, I hate how it’s spelled because many people spell it wrong but I get it because Gabriella is the more traditional way of spelling it! My nickname was Gabby but I disliked it because it meant talkative and stuff like that so people would make jokes, references towards me, etc. I wasn’t talkative either. My sister chose my name when she was like 6 so I dislike the decision that I’m stuck with for the rest of my life. So if you don’t want a label stamped on your child with their name think of how you’d feel.

I very much prefer this spelling to Gabriella. It just looks cleaner/crisper (for lack of better terms).

I like this spelling a lot more than two-L Gabriella. I dislike the shortened Gabby or Gabi, so I would go with Bri or Briela.
