As a German, and a Wilhelm, I can say that this is very German.

A nice and very masculine name. Unfortunately it would seem weird here in the USA, and it's a bit too ethnic-sounding for most people. Plus all the dummies out there would probably spell and pronounce it wrong.

I happen to think it's a great name. Yours truly, Fritz.
I like this name. I've also heard it used as a surname and have never met anyone with it as their first name. My guess would be that it's a very, very uncommon name for babies, especially considering its no longer in the top 1000. I think it's a great name for a dog =)
I do actually like this name. I think it would be fantastic as the name of a book character and absolutely adorable on a little boy, though it would also work quite well for an adult.
I never did like this name. It reminds me of that mean boy in the nutcracker. But since it's a pet form, I suppose the bearer wouldn't neccessarily have to use it. Maybe they might like the sound of it, anyway.
