Faye is so beautiful. The meaning fairy is so wonderful for a little girl to have, and the sound is so pretty and delicate. This is my favourite spelling. I also love May.
I actually really like this name. It flows really well as a middle name with a lot of first names (such as Sophia Faye, Evelyn Faye, Isabella Faye, etc.). It's a good alternative to super-common middle names such as Grace.
From what I see in the comments, there are two types of reactions to the name Faye: you either love it or you hate it. In my case, I really like the name Faye. It seems to me a faerie, mysterious and feminine name, as well as original. I wish it were a name a little more used, really, and on top of it it looks good as both a first and a second name. Yes, Faye is definitely a good name.
Faye is one of my middle names (the other is Elizabeth). I never really gave the name much thought growing up but as an adult, I really like it. I think it's a pretty name and I've rarely come across any others with the name here in the UK. I think it's a nice choice if you're looking for a short, easy-to-pronounce name, with a sweet meaning.

Faye is my middle name and my late great grandmother's name. I see so much hate on it but I don't understand why. It's such a cute and sweet name and I prefer this spelling to 'Fay'. It's a sweet name.

It sounds ugly. And boring.

Please please please don’t do this to a poor little girl! I would absolutely hate being stuck with name!

I’ve never liked this name. It sounds old, harsh, and outdated.

Faye is such a soft, pretty name! I prefer this spelling over Fay and Fae.
I have given the name Faye a lot of thought in the last few days and feel it's such a lovely, soft, pretty name. My great grandmother's surname before she was married was actually Faye, which I feel is a wonderful English surname to have for a female. She had a flower middle name and both together always sounded like a character from Classical English fairy tale. As well as this, there is also the name Fraye which is very close to Faye but I don't know if they share the same meaning. I can't help being fond of it. It's beautiful.
I have enjoyed my first name of Faye and several people have told me what an attractive and feminine name it is. I also have a young niece who has it as her middle name and another little one with Faye as her first name... so I guess it is popular with my family. My husband likes it very much... it isn't trendy but it is a little different.

I'm really starting to admire this name and recently, I've been thinking about using it as a middle name if I ever had a daughter to honor my mother, whose middle name just so happens to be this. Hers is spelled as Fay but Faye is my preferred spelling :D.

My name is Faye and I love my name because it just fits me perfectly. The name Faye is absolutely beautiful for your child. I am so glad that I have such a unique name, thank you Mom.
Faye is one of my all time favorites. It is such a gorgeous name! It can be used as a first name, or middle name. Sounds great either way. It also reminds me of the tv show "The Secret Circle" where Phoebe Tonkin plays the character Faye. She's a rebel in the show, so she has the perfect name! Faye is like a rebellious name, but still an awesome name.
If you're reading these comments to decide weather or not to name you're child this, stop. Who gives a flying fuck what other people think. Chose the name if you like it, not if other people like it! XD.
This is a soft, sweet name and looks prettier in my honest opinion than Fay, which is also nice. I had a lovely friend at college named Faye and I particularly like it as a middle name.
This is a name that a girl could grow into as she gets older. I definitely don't associate it with country girls. Must be a dumb British thing.

Faye with an "e" is also my middle name, and while I didn't care for it as a child, I love it now. Mine derives from women on both sides of my family, and I think it is beautiful, both in meaning and sound. It works well as a middle name in many cases. I like the added "e."
This isn't a bad one-syllable name, but it has rather been ruined by all the associations to dimwitted trailer trash and country girls, for whom this is a very common middle name.
Faye is a special name to me, not only is it my middle name (Amanda Faye) but also my mom's and my late grandmother's. The French meaning is fairy, the Irish-Gealic meaning is raven. I even went by Faye for a few years because of how common my first name is. I love the name, it just has a sweet southern sound to it.
My daughter's middle name is Faye and she absolutely loves it. She says when she becomes famous, she'll drop her surname and only use her first and middle. LOL.
I love the name Faye, I think it's so gorgeous. It's a great middle name too. Like Audrey Faye. I think it sounds so elegant! It also reminds me of Faye Dunaway, and then it reminds me of Joan Crawford since she played her in Mommie Dearest. Otherwise, I think it's cute.
