I read a book with a middle aged woman with this name, 1912 Titanic setting and they called her Vange (Vanj) which turned me off but I love Evie and this would make a sophisticated long form.

Our 5yo is Evangeline and we also call her Evie. She is incredible, smart and so kind. (We have 4 kids and she is the sweetest).
