Eugene is a very common name in Korea. And the funny thing is, here we regard 'Eugene' as a girl's name. It's totally girly! If you see a male have this name, we get a awkward feeling like as if a boy have a name like 'Lily' or 'Olivia'. And like I said in the beginning, it's a very common name so you can see this name often. I also have lots of friends who's name is Eugene like Eugene Han, Eugene Bak, Eugene Jo, Eugene Jeon... and so on. They're all girls, of course. :) Although it's common, I liked this name very much cause It sounds pretty. And one day I saw 'Tangled' and I find it so cool that Flynn Rider's real name is Eugene! I was quite surprised that foreign countries use a name 'Eugene' too (I've never been abroad) and at the fact the name suits a man very well. So I searched the name, and that brought me here. It's still interesting to know western countries use this name for boys though.
