Esti is the short version of Estibalitz or Estibaliz. A popular name in the Basque Country--there is a church named after the virgin of Estibaliz in the Basque province of Araba--originally it comes from the Latin word "Estivalia," summer time.Ezti, not Esti, means "honey, sweet" in Basque.
