My gran was called Emanuela and my brother named his twins Ema and Ela to remember her by.

I like Emmanuelle, but I prefer this one because it sounds more feminine and it has a nice flow, very gentle sounding. I think that Manuela is a pretty nickname, but I could see how one would be a bit irked that no one ever says the full thing! In short, I think this is a very beautiful name. :)

I love this name. It sounds more feminine than Manuela. I also like the nickname Ela.
