Elyse is my favorite girl name! Elise seems pretty boring to me, so the y helps make the name unexpected and fun! I also think the y helps bring Elise (a more old-fashioned name) into the modern generation. I think it is also popular for people to mistake Elise for Elsie, since Elsie is more popular right now. I know a lot of people don't like Elyse, but I really do! Elyse is also a one syllable name, making it simple and easy to pronounce. For people complaining about misspellings of the name, it's really not a big deal. So someone writes Elise instead of Elyse on her cup at Starbucks. It's not really a big deal. Anyways, I plan for this to be the name of my daughter.
Elyse looks tacky, Elise is way better and more traditional. Elise isn't as popular as it was a long time ago, so it's already unique. Use Elise! Also, Elise just looks better. I hate how the "y" sticks out in Elyse. People would also misspell Elyse as Elise. I mean, if you want to be different, go for it I guess, but let me warn you that you're going to need to spell it out every single time you meet someone.
My name is Elyse. Honestly, I like Elise better. There is no reason to respell it with a "y". Also, I went to school with two girls with the same name but spelled differently: Alyse and Elise.

This is much more interesting then Elise. I know a very nice Elyse who gets her name misspelled a lot though.
My Name is Elyse and I adore my name. It suits me with my unusual personality and full of life nature. I used to be in two minds as to my name when I was younger, only due to people not pronouncing it right or thinking it was a weird name. But now I love it. A perfect name for a girl or women of any age.
I don't understand what's wrong with plain old Elise. It sounds the same, and has the advantage of no tacky random y where it is unnecessary and has no historical precedent. That being said, the overall sound is very pretty and the name isn't a bad one. I just think Elise is better.
I think it's so pretty. It's very versatile in age and is a cute name when a girl is little, a pretty name in her teens, and an elegant/chic name for when a girl grows into adulthood. My friend spells it Elyse but I have seen Elise (which I have found is the more common spelling) or as Alyse. She says it like Uhh-lee-s. I asked her if she liked her name and she says that she likes that no one she knows has the same name. She said there is usually no Elyse S. And Elyse B. (example) because it is sort of uncommon. But the name is common enough so most know how to say it. Elyse said,"but I guess not common enough so that it gets on a keychain... haha!"

I love this name! Not just because it rhymes with my name but I think it sounds really pretty.
I think this is a lovely name. My middle name is Elysse, accidentally spelled with an extra 's' on my birth certificate, but I think this name is beautiful and strong.
I adore the name Elyse, it is a beautiful name that rolls off the tongue. I loved it so much that I used it in one of my stories. The charecter's name is Elyse Elwood.
My name is Elyse, and I think the name is Ok. People are always saying Elsie, because people don't read it right. The Y is before the S people. GET IT RIGHT! There is also a song called "Fur Elise" by Beethoveen. I personally think it is a great name, if you pronounce it right. It is pronounced (eee-leese) or slang version (uhh-leese).
Elyse is a great name! I prefer the name with the y instead of the i. Elyse is a great name for a little girl, and older woman and every age in between.
I'm in the process of naming a daughter and I'm pretty sure this is the name for her! I think it is a beautiful and sophisticated name; I hope she likes it as much as I do.

This is my daughter's name, she is beautiful and so is the name Elyse. It can be spelled in other ways but I think this is the prettiest.
