I knew an Elise who pronounced it Eh-Liss (short i sound), pronounced similar to Alice.
In english, Elise is pronounced Eh-lease, NOT ee-leez.
It's pronounced e-LEES in Swedish, not e-LEE-se.
My name is Elisabeth, but I go by Elise. I live in Germany and I pronounce it e-LEEZ, without the e at the end. Both ways are used here, though.
I've heard it pronounced "e-LICE"?
Also pronounced E-lee-sa in German.

Pronounced EL - LEESE.
