Earlene Brown (née Dennis; 1935 – 1983) was an American athlete. She was notable for her careers in track and field and roller games. She competed at the 1956, 1960 and 1964 Olympics in the shot put and discus throw and won a bronze medal in the shot put in 1960; she finished fourth in the discus in 1956.
Earlene Hill Hooper is an American politician. She represented District 18 in the New York State Assembly from 1988 to 2018. Hooper's district included large portions of Nassau County. Hooper served as the first female Deputy Speaker of the Assembly from 2009 to 2018. First elected in a special election held on March 15, 1988, Hooper was (at one time) the only New York state legislator of color from Long Island.
