Edith Melba Artois (nee la Fan) also known as Madame Edith is a character from the BBC sitcom Allo Allo which made fun of WW2 movies. Madame Edith is the jealous wife of the main character René Artois and fancies herself a cabaret singer despite being completely tone deaf.Great show, great character!

Her music reflected her tragic life, with her specialty being the poignant ballad presented with a heartbreaking voice. Among her most famous songs are "La vie en rose" (1946), "Hymne à l'amour" (1949), "Milord" (1959), "Non, je ne regrette rien" (1960).
