Sad that the top comments here are people that are hating on the name. It’s a great name, I really don’t understand why people don’t like it.

Doug has to be a good name. It's simple and fits a lot of different types of people.

Ugly spelling and pronunciation. The full name "Douglas" is also ugly. I'm glad this name is dying out.

This name is somewhat average, especially since it's associated with the Nickelodeon series character Doug Funnie.

I hate this name because it reminds me of a skinny nerd. This is because of the cartoon 'Doug' that aired in the 90s.

I like this name but only because of the nickname Dougie. I have a friend who has the name Dougie and I think it is wonderful.

I never did like the sound of this, but the dimwitted blogger/columnist/whatever Doug Giles really made me hate this name.

I think it, along with Douglas, is a cute name.

Imagine if General Douglas MacArthur was General Doug MacArthur. Somehow I don't think he'd seem as powerful.
