Denis

I think Denis is a nice name. It is strong, handsome, and relatively uncommon. I prefer this spelling over “Dennis”. I also love the potential nicknames like “Den” and “Denny”. Overall, I think Denis is a great name.

I find it fascinating this name is completely unknown in Poland, while it's relatively common in other Slavic countries, such as Russia, Czechia, Slovakia and Croatia.

Too easy for children to make fun of this name. Just replace the first letter with a p. Otherwise this is a nice, solid name.

When I read Denis, I think de-NEE, but when I read Dennis, I think DEN-is. Either way I don't like it too much.
