My name is DeAnne Renee. I absolutely hated my name growing up because no one could pronounce it correctly. My teachers would call me Dean, Deana, Dena, Diana, Diane, DeAnnEE. However as I have gotten older I started going by my middle name of Renee. I sign everything D. Renee.

A little too old fashioned for me but other than that I think it's nice!

I love it. It sounds so mature.

I prefer Diane. This spelling looks a bit redneck and it's not as pretty.

My name is Deanne and I love it. It’s unique and unusual and I’ve only ever heard of a few people with the same name, which as far I’m concerned is a big PLUS. The only problem I have sometimes is mispronunciations- teachers at school were the worst for this actually. I used to get called, ‘Dean’ ‘Deana’, ‘Diana’, ‘Deanna’, ‘Diane’ etc. I used to get called ‘Dean’ the most though. My guess is people used to just see the first 4 letters and then didn’t bother with the rest. People don’t usually get it wrong these days but I think a different spelling could have saved me a lot of hassle back then. ‘Dee-anne’, DeAnne’, DeeAnne’, ‘Dee-Anne’ or ‘Deeanne’ are some of the spelling variations I would have preferred.

This name sounds really 70s and very lazily constructed.

I actually changed my mind about this name. Yes it does sounds very 70s but I am going to take back what I said, about how the name was “very lazily constructed”.

My first name is after my Dad- Dean. I like it, always have. Many call me Dea which is cool too. I do get tired of being called Deanna and Diana, but it really isn't that big of a deal.

Nicknames for Deanne: My family called me "DeeDee" growing up. My brothers still call me that. Some of my friends call me "Dee". I love the name Deanne, and the nicknames!

I love this name. It's my middle name. I don't know how you could hate it. Be happy you have such a pretty name. A nickname would not do this name justice.

This is my middle name, named after my uncle "Dean". HATE the name... it doesn't allow for any pretty nicknames (neither does my first name). Please, Please, PLEASE if you are thinking of this name for your child think long and hard about whether your child will grow up loving or hating you for this choice.

This is my middle name except mine is spelt with one n. I like the name but as others mentioned it gets mispronounced. So I try to capitalize the A. It's a really pretty name.

I was born Deanne Elizabeth, and although "Deanne" is unique and pretty, I was constantly frustrated by mispronunciations and misspellings growing up. (the most common mistakes were being called "Dianne" or "Dean".) I too tried the DeAnne spelling, which stopped the "Dean" problem, but the "Dianne"s kept coming. Finally when I was starting college (a good time to make a name change, since you're meeting all new people) I said "Forget this, I'm going by my middle name" and I have been Elizabeth ever since. Even my parents call me Elizabeth now. Deanne is still my legal first name - I sign things "D. Elizabeth" - and oddly enough, on those rare occasions when I have to use it, nobody ever misspells or mispronounces it! Go figure.

This name has a nice ring to it. It reminds me of a notably friendly older lady, but not elderly. I do think I prefer the 'DeAnn' spelling slightly.

My sister's name is Deanne Bonner, but she says that though she likes her name, it was a torment to have because throughout her whole childhood life (which I was not alive in), people pronounced her name dean-EE BONE-er. She actually capitalised the "A" for a few years just so people would see the "anne" part as pronounced seperate from the "De" part.

I like this name but just an idea: my mom spells her name DeAnn.

My friend Deanne is very spontanious and eccentric. She is a pillar for my entire class. I feel that her name fits her personality very well.

I prefer the variant spelling, D-e-a-n-n. I think that's because that's the way my cousin spells it.

I love this name because it's my middle name. Sometimes I wish it were my first name, but I like my first name, too, so I have no problems. But, anyway, it sounds great to me.
