Dave

It's a neat name, but personally I feel like it should be a nickname instead of a name. You should name your child David instead!

Fine as a nickname for David but horrible as a name on its own. Dave strikes me as a gangster name for some reason.

I think this name is stupid and ridiculous. As someone named David it fills my soul with rage and disgust when people call me Dave. This name should have never been made and I highly urge people to not name their kids this.

It's a weird position where people are named David but don't have Dave as a nickname. I feel like I'm supposed to know someone who goes by Dave but I jUsT DoN'T. Also I don't recommend naming your tiny heathen this if you're wondering, just have them be David.

I think Dave is a pretty awesome name! It's rather informal, sure, but I think it is a bit of a time saver to call someone Dave instead of David. Also, I mostly think it's cool because it's my name. And I'm cool.

I think it's a cool name, but sounds too insubstantial as a legal name, which is why I only like it it's short for David.
