In Sanskrit "Darshana" means the view which shows the god or shastra as "DARSHAYATE ITE DARSHANA". For example, we say when we go to temple "we are going to temple for BHAGVAN KI DARSHANA"; but to meet someone or see someone we don't use the word DARSHANA.
