Where I live this would be pronounced 3 syllables, like: cor-NEEL-yuh. I don’t like that very much.
Variant English Pronunciations: kawr-NEE-lyə, kawr-NEEL-yə.
Italian pronunciation: Kohr-NEYH-Lyah"C" is hard, "K." "O" is as usual, "Oh." Roll your "R." "E" equals quite near to the English greeting of "Hey" (exclude the "H"). The "I" is stressed to "EE." "A" as in "Father." Although the last bit ("Lia"/"Lee-Ah") becomes sllightly morphed to "Lyah" when spoken. [noted -ed]
Czech pronunciation is "kawr-neh-lya".
In Romania the name is pronounced COR-NE-LIA, with the accent on E.
I believe the Romanian pronunciation for this name is kor-NEEL-yah.
