This was the name of the main female character in The Twilight Zone episode "The Last Rites of Jeff Myrtlebank". It distracted me a bit during the episode lol.
Comfort M. Freeman is a peace activist in Liberia. She is the head of the Liberian Women`s Initiative for Peace, an anti-war women`s group and the Lutheran Church Women`s Committee. She also was part of a delegation of church leaders who visited the United States in March 2003. She is a co-founder of Women of Liberia Mass Action for Peace, which is a peace movement started in 2003 by women in Monrovia, Liberia, Africa, that worked to end the Second Liberian Civil War.
I'm surprised no one's mentioned the esteemed Louis Comfort Tiffany, son of the founder of Tiffany's. Due to him being the first bearer of this name to come to mind for me, I was surprised to see it listed as solely feminine.
I think this is a company that makes detergent and fabric softener. You know, for clothes. It smells good, but probably not the first association you want.

Ugh, I've read a book with a main character called "Comfort Snowberger." Both the first and last name is terrible. If I can recall, Comfort had a dog named "Dismay" and a friend named "Declaration." The story was good, the names were of poor choice.
