I honestly dislike this name so much I just can't stand the name Cole. I don't understand why someone would ever let their child walk around being named Cole. I just don't understand the name it is not practical in any way, it's just a terrible name.
Cole is such a cool name. I love it as a nickname for Nicholas or by itself. It makes me think of the amazing singer Nat King Cole (if you don’t know who he is, listen to his Christmas album now! I don’t care what time of year it is).
I think this is a great name for a boy! I have someone in my school that's named Cole and I think it could be used for a girl, but it's more common for guys.
I absolutely love this name! I especially like it for a girl, but I like it for a guy a lot, too! It's just a really good name! It's always been one of my favorites :)
My friend’s brother is the first Cole I ever met. I thought it was short for Nicholas. But they said nope, just Cole. I kinda prefer Nicholas instead.

This name sounds so disgusting. I don't even like it.

I never really liked this name at all for some reason. It's pronounced exactly like coal and sounds too much like Coca-Cola.

My little brother is named Cole. I love the name Cole! I love a lot of C names and find Cole to be such a cute, sweet, not overly common name that will age well. My brother is still very young and we call him Coley and Cobo for nicknames. :)
Cole is a name I absolutely plan to use for my first (or only) son. I love the simplicity and practicality of it. There is such a 'coolness factor' that comes with the name when I do hear it, which is not often. If I had two sons (twins or not) I would name them Cole and Dean. I'm in love with those names and love how excellent they go together! (:
I never thought much about the name Cole until I saw a Starbucks cup in the trash with the name "Coal" scrawled on it. I never found out if it was a joke, if the barista couldn't spell, if that was actually the person's name. Now I can never hear the name Cole without thinking of a sooty carbon compound.
My maiden surname was Cole, and I honestly LOVED it as a surname... my new one is much messier. I named my son Cole, for multiple reasons - 1) it's a homage to my family's roots, and sometimes I feel like it's hard for mothers to pass a naming tradition to their sons 2) it's a simple, strong name that's perfect for both a little boy and a grown man, and 3) my little boy has deep brown (almost black) eyes and was born with dark brown hair... his name is a literal match to himself. It's a little weird when gathering with the very extended family, such as at weddings and such, but both of our immediate families thought that it was a wonderful idea.

While I saw that the name Cole was "trendy" I disagree completely I have met very few people named Cole besides myself. While Cole may seem like an ugly name because it reminds you of what is supposedly put in naughty kids stockings, that doesn't mean you have to hate the name when you hear it. If you think that Cole is a bland name think again. Cole, while it is a short name, it was used as a nickname for people with dark hair or dark skin because of the color of coal, but that does not mean it has to be a nickname. I know somebody with a last name Cole and I find it is a suiting name. I understand if you think I'm being biased because of my name but I'm not. I find this name suitable for the people that have it and think it should be used more by itself instead of some abbreviation for Nicholas.

I am beyond devastated that I may not be able to use this name. Beyond it.

I love this name! I plan to name my first son, Cole Alexander (: ♥Love that combo. So simple, decent, masculin and handsome.

This is a sexy, handsome and cool sounding name for a guy. :D Cole MacGrath off the video game Infamous is who I think of. :D.

The name Cole makes me think of a male with dark features. Definetly black hair or at least dark brown. Blonde hair as long as their eyes are brown. I can't picture a redhead named Cole for the life of me! Lol.

I know twins named Cole and Tristan. I think the names together sound awesome!
My name is Nicole, and (as I feel it is too girly for me) I'm thinking about asking people to call me Cole. I love the name, and I think it makes a great nickname for a Nicole that doesn't want to stick with the girly-sounding Nicole or Nikki (or Nicki or Nicci or Nikky or however you deign to spell it). It's a great name.
Kind of weird that not many other people agree, but this name is sooo über trendyyy! It's not the worst name ever, but honestly, it sounds like the word coal. Which is what you get in your stocking on Christmas if you're bad.

Don't like it. It's too trendy, and it looks like it should be short for Nicole and therefore girly.
I used to not like this name because it reminded me too much of 'coal' which I wouldn't want to see as a name. But after I met a good friend, Cole, I like it because I have a good image when I think of it.

I named my second son Cole. But I added another first name after Cole, because it is such a short name. He is Cole Anthony. I just love that Nicholas idea, that's brilliant! Cute nicknames occur from Cole as well. Like Coleslaw!
Positive connotations with this name, the Cole I know is pretty rad. I can't see anyone else with the name, though. That would be weird.

I used to like this name. Then I met two guys named Cole. I still think people should use the name though, it's cool.

This is a very nice name. It's strong yet soft. I think a boy or man named Cole would be very sweet and kind for some reason.

I don't really like this name on its own. It seems too simple and short. I find it boring. But it would make an awesome short form for Nicholas, as was already mentioned.
