This name is sort of creepy like Corpus Christi (body of Christ, Jesus being executed). Especially if you named your daughter this and she was born at Easter.
I love Christie for a boy. It's very adorable. And I don't think of Christie being a girl's name. I like Christie on a boy better than a girl personally. I would name my child Christopher and just nickname him Christie (just like I wouldn't name my daughter Christie but use it as a nickname for Christine/Christina).
It's my name and it's always mutilated. It's CHRISTIE, not Christy, Kristi, Cristy, Kristee, or Chrissy! The original spelling is the least trashy and chav-like, I think.

Christie? On a boy? No way! It may be Scottish, but in English it doesn't sound very masculine and a boy named Christie will get teased.
It sounds prettier than the overused, annoying Chris and the immature-sounding Chrissie, but I can't say I like this name either. It's still quite cutesy and too common.
