Charli is a beautiful name! It’s pretty and like well … honestly a text slang. But I understand how it would get annoying because, being associated with Chali D’Amelio the Tik Toker.

I love this name and imagine it on a pretty teenage girl. Some nicknames that could work are Char (pronounced Shar), Lottie, Chase and Leigh.

Love the name Charli as a nickname for Charlotte but nowadays it will most likely be associated with Charli d'amelio. Nothing against her - but would probably be better to spell it Charlie to avoid annoying comments/associations with the name.
