Lessie could be a nickname for Celeste.
Celeste in Italian is the name of the colour sky blue. In the past in Italy Celeste was also used for men, but in the last 30 years it is used only for women and it is becoming quite common.
Celeste is also a French (used alongside Céleste in the Francosphere), Spanish, and Portuguese given name, used for both genders. Some evidence for this can be seen on the Popularity Chart for Celeste for Chile, and the fact that Celeste is used in name combinations such as María Celeste (Spanish) and Maria Celeste (Portuguese). And, Celeste is used as a surname in French, Spanish, and Portuguese. So, I think that the "Usage" of this name should be updated to read, "Italian, English, French, Spanish, Portuguese".Sources: https://forebears.io/forenames/celeste

Why is this name described as feminine and masculine? I’ve never heard of a male “Celeste...”.
