The Dutch pronunciation featured is partially incorrect.The correct pronunciation is: /'se:l/Here's an audio clip of it: https://nl.forvo.com/search/Ceel/nl/ (in Dutch)If you think about it, the current pronunciation makes no sense, what with the name being a derivation of Marcelis/Marcelus, which are variants of Marcellus, the original Latin form of Marcel (archaic Dutch variant: Marceel). Not to mention that the current pronunciation is identical to that of the Dutch word 'keel' meaning "throat", which is obviously an undesirable connection that people would be very quick to make - even in the olden days. There is just no way that someone would make themselves or their child vulnerable to the kind of ridicule that would bring. [noted -ed]
Most people will probably mispronounce this name as Seal.
