Carissa

My favorite girl's name ever! While pregnant, I did debate between Carissa, Clarissa, & also Charis. When I finally had my daughter I had 2 first names picked out, waiting until after I met her to decide. She is definitely a Carissa - beloved & dear one.

I think Clarissa is better. Carissa gives me 1980s hippie vibes. I'm not surprised it peaked in 1992.

This is my mum's name and I think it's awesome. It's not very common in Australia and it's usually shortened down to Riss which it unique and pretty.

I'd never heard of this name before until I met my friend Carissa at University! I think it's a nice name. It's uncommon but it's not too unusual.

Out of the few Carissas (and variant spellings) I've met, one is so abusive and hurtful to those around her that every time I meet someone with this name (regardless of spelling) I tend not to like them because of her.
